Why Shiny Heart? The Story Behind Our Name

Have you ever left a theatre performance and felt your heart glow with joy, wonder, and inspiration? That warm, sparkling feeling, the one that makes you smile, laugh, or even hug someone - is exactly what inspired the name Shiny Heart Productions.

For us, a Shiny Heart is more than just a fleeting emotion. It’s the light that theatre can ignite in children, families, schools and communities. It’s the joy that lingers after a performance, the connection you feel when you laugh and gasp together, and the spark of imagination that stays with you long after the curtain falls.

Our Mission: Ignite, Delight, Unite

Everything we do at Shiny Heart Productions is guided by three simple but powerful pillars:

• Ignite: We spark imagination, curiosity, and creativity in every child and family who experiences our theatre.

• Delight: We create performances that are magical, joyful, and emotionally engaging, leaving hearts full of happiness.

From Theatre to Everyday Life

The magic of a Shiny Heart isn’t limited to the stage. We want every child, parent, teacher and audience member to carry that feeling into their everyday lives - to live with curiosity, creativity, courage, empathy, and joy.

Through our shows, workshops, drama programs and festivals, we aim to ignite curiosity and kindness, delight with wonder and joy, and unite hearts, minds and communities - helping children to creatively explore and joyfully develop the social and emotional skills to thrive in the world around them.

Our performances are joyful, inclusive, and research-informed - to inspire wellbeing, nurture social-emotional growth and foster connection -leaving children, families, schools and communities with hearts that feel brighter, braver, and full of wonder.
